Finally, the highly anticipated follow-up to the New York Times bestseller Beautiful Disaster. Can you love someone too much? Travis Maddox learned two things from his mother before she died: Love hard. Fight harder. In Walking Disaster, the life of Travis is full of fast women, underground gambling, and violence. But just when he thinks he is invincible, Abby Abernathy brings him to his knees. Every story has two sides. In Beautiful Disaster, Abby had her say. Now it’s time to see the story through Travis’s eyes.
I was pleasantly surprised with this book. I don’t know where the hell I’ve been but I didn’t know that there was going to be a retelling of this story only with Travis Maddox’s POV. The funny thing was I was sort of skimming through and thinking about re-reading Beautiful Disaster when I came across this one. I devoured this book in a day and a half.
I adore this story so much! I have since the very first time I read Beautiful Disaster. That ended up with me reading it 3 times and now this one once. I’m very much in love with these characters. Especially Travis. I can see me reading this again.
I know the whole thing is very explosive with very explosive character personalities, but this is truly an amazing love story between two amazing characters. A very heartfelt and heartbreaking relationship. It just really makes you appreciate the love between Abby (Pigeon) and Travis so much more when you know the barriers that they climbed over and crashed through to be together. I loved being inside of Travis’ thoughts already knowing what Abby’s thoughts were. He’s a pretty sweet guy.
I was really excited about reading this as Travis’ POV and I particularly liked the epilogue. A very exciting little treat to top it off. I loved it! Amazing story.
