Ally Marshall isn’t just a wolf shifter — she’s a Seer.
But a girl doesn’t exactly need special powers to know that Derren Hudson despises her entire kind. Disdain practically rolls off the Beta of the Mercury Pack . . . disdain mixed with a healthy dose of desire. And no matter how much the ruggedly handsome male appeals to her, this is one call of the wild she’s determined to ignore.

After one betrayal too many, Derren doesn’t have much use for Seers — except for Ally. Forced into acting as her protector, he finds himself intensely and passionately drawn to the woman who incites his primal instinct to claim.

And when enemies target the pack, Ally’s gift may be just what the Mercury Pack needs. Can he put his distrust aside, or will he force himself to turn his back on the one woman who makes his inner beast howl?

My Thoughts Green swirls

Spiral of Need is book #1 in the Mercury Pack series by Suzanne Wright… but it is also a spinoff from The Phoenix Pack series.

This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!!!!!!!  Honestly, I love these wolves and to have a new series that’s a continuation of the original series is amazing.  I get to keep up to date with all the Phoenix wolves and learn some history of the Mercury wolves.  Best of both worlds!

Ultimately they are all one big pack but since there are two alpha males… we needed two packs with two territories.  Makes perfect sense to me and since everyone is all friends and one big family they are in each other’s books.  I’m so excited about this! Can ya tell?

We first met Darren back in The Phoenix Pack book #3 Carnal Secrets.  It was actually Shaya & Nick’s story, but Darren is Nick’s right hand man… but not his friend because Nick doesn’t have friends!  😉

Anyway, this book is the first of the new series and it begins with Darren’s story… and what a story it was! LOVED IT!  He is such an awesome character! Fiercely protective of his friends and pack members but also a man with a terrible past but yet he remains to be a good man!  So much so that he promises to do everything in his power to protect a certain seer because he feels like he owes this person and cannot deny his request.

Ally Marshall is nothing what Darren would even look for in a girl because she’s a wolf with a gift that he despises!  Matter of fact most members from both packs despise SEERS.  It’s nothing that Ally hasn’t heard before and not the worst that she’s been through.  Yet she finds herself in the middle of this pack and has no choice in the matter.  Will anyone ever give her the break that she truly deserves?

Danger is coming from all sorts of direction in this book and it is truly a great story!  There is a never ending display of action and suspense… and hot ‘N sexy wolfy romance.  I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed this book and I cannot wait for more from both series!

Suzanne Wright is phenomenal! I re-read The Phoenix Pack series last month after getting the 5th book in the series and then I read this one and now I’m re-reading the first book in the Deep In Your Veins series.  I completely forgot about the Vampire series and when I realized my stupidity I had to start from the beginning.

Great book from a great author!
