Whispered secrets drag the past out of the swamp and lead Gabi to the last place on Earth she ever expected to be, thrust into the arms of a man she never expected to get...
Gabrielle Fairway has long dealt with the snickering, whispered rumors and taunting thanks to her father’s obsession with bigfoot. Now that dad’s getting on in years, his daughters think it may be time to admit the elderly biologist to a nursing home. Lucky Gabi gets to go down and break the news to him, which brings her clawing her way back to her hometown of Sunset Glade.
Tucker Auric has been hiding not one, but two secrets — his and his brother’s. It’s hard enough being a panther shifter without a pack, but protecting his sasquatch sibling from the prying eyes of paranormal hunters is running him ragged. One look at Gabi has Tucker realizing that he needs someone like her in his life… and his bed.
An attack in the swamp thrusts bookish Gabi and her long-time crush together as they work to solve the mystery of the murderous shifter. When the evildoer turns their attention to Gabi and Tucker, they’ll have to decide where their loyalties lie or risk losing the love they’ve only just discovered...
I took part in Amelie Hunt’s Arc Wave promo. Whoever signed up was given (for an honest review) five series of three books each of ARC’s from five different authors to read and review by October 9th. These are all novellas and I was a little stumped on how I was going to do up the reviews, but decided to break them into five posts with each having all three books by the same author.
So let’s get started!
Spark is book #1 in the Sunset Glade Panthers series by Sennah Tate.
There are a lot of really great things that I like about this book.
- I can relate to the characters very much.
- I love the whole Panther Shifter idea. I don’t think I’ve read about Panther Shifters before.
- I like the relationship between Gabi and her dad.
- I love the relationship between Tucker and his brother… and that’s a whole other story going on there.
- I really like the relationship brewing between Gabi & Tucker.
- I love Gabi’s character. She’s wicked head strong. I think she’ll shine in future books.
I would have liked a little more romance between Gabi and Tucker… but hey, this is only book one so I’m sure that’s to come.
I have not had the pleasure of reading anything by Sennah Tate before this and I really like her style and dialogue.
In A Nutshell:
Can’t wait for books 2 and 3!
