The first in a sexy contemporary romance series featuring the Lawless siblings—from New York Times bestselling author Lexi Blake.

The Lawless siblings are bound by vengeance. Riley, Drew, Brandon, and Mia believe the CEO of StratCast orchestrated their parents’ murder twenty years ago to steal their father’s software program. And there’s only one way Riley can find some solid evidence...

Heir to the StratCast legacy, Ellie Stratton hires a new attorney to handle a delicate business matter—and she’s shocked by her attraction to him. Over the course of a few weeks, Riley becomes her lover, her friend, her everything. But when her life is threatened, Ellie discovers that Riley is more obsessed with settling an old score than in the love she thought they were building. And Riley must choose between a revenge he’s prepared for all his life and the woman he’s sure he can’t live without...

My Thoughts Green swirlsRuthless is book #1 in the new Lawless series, which is a spin-off series from Masters and Mercenaries by the lovely and extremely talented Lexi Blake.

I was very excited about this book coming out.  I’m a mega huge big fan of Lexi Blake and the Masters and Mercenaries series, and I love the spin-offs because they give me something extra special to tide me over until the next M&M book. Yes, I know I have a huge TBR pile and lots of stuff can keep me busy, but the spin-offs keeps me close to the McKay Taggart family of which I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with! Just sayin’!

In the last couple of M&M books we met Mia who is Case Taggarts new love. This new series is about Mia and her brothers Drew, Riley and Bran Lawless. Each of the boys have their own issues coming from a very fucked up childhood where their parents were murdered and all four of them got split up and sent to foster care or group homes. This is their stories about revenge and justice and most of all healing. We got to hear most of Mia’s story in Dominance Never Dies, so I’m not sure if there will be a separate book for Mia in this new series or not. I’m thinking that we’ll catch up on anything that was left out with her brother’s stories. Mia and Case are both in this series too.

This first book was Riley’s book, and what a beginning to what I can only assume will be an epic series! It is chalk full of suspense, excitement, danger and yummy romance.  Ooooh and of course lovely yummy hot sexy male goodness. Riley is such an awesome character and I instantly fell in love with him.  Hell, I’m in love with the other two brothers and have been since before this series even started almost!  Lexi Blake sure knows how to write a drop dead gorgeous drool worthy heroic yummy hot man with such an amazing heart that makes your own heart melt with every word that comes out of his mouth! Yes, even the bad ones!

She is just as magnificent writing strong kick ass female characters who take shit from no one… even when they’re down so low that they can barely even dream of coming back to the top. That’s Ellie Stratton in a nutshell. She’s Charlotte Taggart worthy that one! Fantastic character.

Fantastic start to a new spinoff series.  Loved every bit of it!

You rock Lexi Blake!  Fan for life here!
