My Thoughts

Green swirlsI’m completely hooked on this series.  This book by far is the best in the series (so far) and I anticipate that each one will just get better and better.  I’m not sure how else to explain it, but I’m simply in love with these characters.  I get mad when they get mad and I’m happy when they’re happy.  There are some that I want to smack and tell them to grow a backbone and some that I want to hold and make them feel better.   Sure there may be a few things in the grammar and spelling area that kinda drive me crazy when reading and I’d like to correct, but you’re so wrapped up in the storyline and character’s minds that you don’t hardly notice them.
I don’t like a series that from the first book to the last book you’re still on the same level with the characters.  This series has the characters growing with each book.   I’m learning at least one thing new with each character every time I pick the book up.  That to me is fantastic.  It doesn’t have to be anything huge to make me happy either.  The main character is Rose.  She’s a phenomenal lead female character.  She’s learning about herself constantly and we’re learning with her as she grows up.  It’s just simply awesome character development on the author’s part!  I think anyway.

That doesn’t mean that I’m necessarily completely happy with the direction that my favourite characters are heading, but life isn’t all puppies and hot chocolate chip cookies.  You have to take the good with the bad.  It makes it more real and raw.

I’m incredibly happy that I came across these books and was able to get 4 of them at one time.  That means that I still have one more to go before I have to start waiting for the 5th in the series.   The worst part about any series in my opinion is the dreaded waiting game.  LOL  This is a great set of books!    I love them!
