Hunter and Remington Ross knew they were too much like their father to ever have a woman in their lives. But rushing to the aid of a woman they found on the side of the road--a woman who desperately needed medical attention--their protective instincts came alive with a vengeance. Uneasy at their possessiveness of her, they keep her close enough to watch over, but not close enough to tempt them. Finding themselves in love terrified them, but keeping their distance proves impossible.
Emma Smith loves them and wants every part of them, even the dominant nature they tried to shield her from. In their arms, she finds everything she'd ever dreamed of--and more. Convincing them that they could be together would take patience, but she didn't suspect that it would take an attempt on her life to show them that they are nothing like their father at all and can have the life they yearned for.

It’s been awhile since reading the last Desire book by the lovely Leah Brooke! It was a real treat. Apparently my updates from Amazon were not working because I’m a year late in getting this. I stumbled across it last week and realized that I hadn’t received my notice and I had to go get it right away. Follow that by devouring it in like a day!
If you follow the series you would know all about the Ross brothers and their issues… or perceived issues of themselves. You have to love these guys. They are so adorable, but you just want to smack some sense into them for crying out loud!
Well, Emma did that for us! She’s a pretty awesome character and I really loved her. She totally fit in to the entire Desire, Oklahoma crowd. Just like she was always meant to be there.
I totally love to hate Charlene! I don’t really think she got what she deserved.
It was really cool touching base with all of the previous characters from the other books too. I didn’t realize how much I missed them until I started reading the book.
I really wish Desire, Oklahoma and the people in these books were real. I so want to visit! I want to go to Gracie’s diner. I want to go to Hope’s girl club. I want to speed through town and see what happens. haha
Great book! Great series! Fantastic writing! Awesome author!
