Sean Kaheaku is at the top of his game. He’s been trained by one of the best in the spy biz and that definitely comes with perks. One of those is working with Jamie Alexander. The sexy British spy definitely tempts him in the worst way.

Jaime has heard enough about Sean to know he is considered one of the best in the field. Of course, he has slept with most of his partners—both male and female. Usually, she wants nothing to do with men like him, but something about the sexy Hawaiian intrigues her.

Their mission is easy. Get in, plant the listening device, get out. But one misstep on their assignment has them pushing the limits of their undercover roles in the most delicious way.

This is a prelude to the full-length book A Little Harmless Rumor and has a happy for now ending. It is NOT a serial and it is not required to read this book to understand the relationships in the final book.

Former SEAL Randy Young isn’t looking to settle down. He just got out of a bad relationship with his share of emotional scars. When he and Sean Kaheaku team up on a surveillance job, he isn’t opposed to a little fun while they work.

Sean learned the hard way that workplace romance doesn’t work out. Hell, hookups are always risky. But, when they find themselves on the run in a foreign country, lines get crossed, and both of them discover more about each other than they ever expected.

My Thoughts Green swirls

Prelude To A Rumor both Parts I & II by Melissa Schroeder are exactly what they advertise…  preludes to a full length novel which is A Little Harmless Rumor (Book #11 in the Harmless series) due out August 25th.

Both of these books are very short and barely novella size and both are such little teasing snacks that {I BEG TO DIFFER} will NOT tide you over until the book release next week, but rather make you so hot for the book that it’s almost impossible to wait for now!  It’s unbearable!

These books introduce us to three main characters that will tangle together (hopefully) in A Harmless Rumor.  Jaime, Randy & Sean!  They are wonderful characters from what I’ve gathered so far.  I instantly took a love to all three.

Sneaky… and a bit of a sadist… little Ms. Schroeder (and I mean that in the kindest way possible) knew exactly what she was doing by putting these preludes out.  I cannot frigging wait for the full length book now!  I thought I couldn’t wait for it before reading these and now I’m like a damned heroine addict without any heroine.

Ms. Schroeder is a phenomenal writer!  I have missed her and this series. I still have some of her other series to finish reading (Santini’s anyone?), but I’ve been waiting a long time for a Harmless book and I’m totally stoked for next Tuesday!

About Melissa Schroeder

Born to an Air Force family at an Army hospital Melissa has always been a little bit screwy. She was further warped by her years of watching Monty Python and her strange family. Her love of romance novels developed after accidentally picking up a Linda Howard book. After becoming hooked, she read close to 300 novels in one year, deciding that romance was her true calling instead of the literary short stories and suspenses she had been writing. She has had over 25 short stories, novellas and novels published in four years with seven different publishers.
Being a brat she swore never to marry military. Alas, fate always has her way with mortals. She is married to an AF major with two brats of their own. They live wherever the military sticks them which for the first time in years is a place where THE BUGS DIE!
