Stefan Talbot let Jennifer Waters run from him once. He knew she was far too young for him, but he kept a watchful eye on her, protecting her from afar. When she's arrested for a crime she didn't commit, Stef knows the time has come to get close again.
Jennifer ran from Bliss only to find herself in hot water in Dallas. She's longed to return to Bliss, but not in handcuffs. The only thing she longs for more than her mountain home is the man she ran from-Stef Talbot.
In the middle of the Winter Festival, Stef and Jen find themselves fighting for their love and their lives because danger has followed them back to Bliss.

One To Keep is book #3 in the Nights In Bliss, Colorado series by Sophie Oak.
As the series progresses Sophie Oak’s writing is getting better and better. I love this series.
The King of Bliss, Colorado!
Stefan Talbot has been in all of the books so far in the series and I can see him being in all the rest as well. He’s the matchmaker and all around fantastic protector of all in his town that he considers family. He secretly helps others and I can’t see him stopping that any time soon. One To Keep, was his story. He is such a great character. I have adored him since book #1. He’s just such a loveable soul. He’s been helping others with their relationships and yet couldn’t help himself because he just couldn’t let go of some baggage. He had to actually sit back and FINALLY take some advice from his best friends to finally see the light.
Jennifer Waters is, like the rest of the females in this town, a hell of a spitfire character. She takes no crap off anyone and she’s just the perfect person for Stefan. She just needs to get Stefan to open his damn eyes and mind.
There are dangerous games afoot, milady!
This book did not disappoint with the action side of things. We have Russian Mafia, lots of shoot outs and a lot of ass kicking. Just what every cowboy town needs!
Jennifer got herself into a little bit of trouble and brought it back to Bliss with her.
So much fun to read!!! It keeps those pages turning with very little effort.
Character and/or story development.
Very interesting character growth in this one.
- We got to see the ever elusive Stefan Talbot explained and dammit if I don’t love him even more.
- We connected with older characters and I know I mentioned before that I love this when this happens, but to me in this particular book the older characters aren’t just being updated… they all seem to have grown a little in their characters as well, which is even better.
- We had a nice little snack that cleared up something from the other (crossover) series, Texas Sirens regarding a particular deputy. Can’t wait for his book either, but I’m not sure if it’ll be Bliss, Colorado series or Texas Sirens series.
- We met a couple (or three) new characters and I can’t wait to read their story, which I’m sure is coming up.
I love all of the characters in both of these series and whether we’re meeting new ones, or touching base with older ones, the feeling is the same. FAMILY! These people in this town are very protective of their own and lethal at times in achieving this goal. Yet, they are also very accepting and welcoming when it comes to new members of their family. I want to move to this Bliss, Colorado!
Although there weren’t as many sexy love scenes as I’m used to with this series, the ones that were there were extremely hot. Overall though I give it only a simmering instead of the scorching hot that I usually give. The scenes were more tender and romantic than steamy, but there’s nothing wrong with tender and romantic either. They were very heart melting. Hence the reason I wanted more of them. 😉
The bottom line!
This series is fantastic! The author is fantastic! I recommend everyone to read it! There is always something more to these books than just dangerous adventure and romance. There’s always a life lesson in there too. I adore Sophie Oak! I particularly enjoy her dialogue. She’s got a wicked sense of humour and it comes through loud and clear with the dialogue. In this particular books she has a Russian character and the broken English that she wrote for him was hilarious! Love it!
