Paxton Gentry should know better, he really should. Stunning Brooke Harbin, his best friend’s little sister, has already broken his heart once. Running into Brooke and her dirtbag fiance in Winter Pass, looking at her with any kind of longing, wondering what if… it’s a fool’s game, and Pax knows it.
When Brooke’s marital status suddenly crash lands her at Winter Pass Ski Lodge, she finds herself face to face with the one rugged alpha male she’s never been able to resist. Her secrets kept them apart while Pax was serving overseas, but their newfound close quarters is reminding her just how irresistible an alpha male can be…
With a murderous ex, violent anti-werewolf extremists, and their own tragic history threatening to keep them apart, Brooke and Paxton will have to fight. For their love, for their lives, for the strength to resist the mating call of the full moon.
No one ever said loving an alpha wolf would be easy…
I took part in Amelie Hunt’s Arc Wave promo. Whoever signed up was given (for an honest review) five series of three books each of ARC’s from five different authors to read and review by October 9th. These are all novellas and I was a little stumped on how I was going to do up the reviews, but decided to break them into five posts with each having all three books by the same author.
So let’s get started!
Growl is book #2 in the Winter Pass Wolves series by Vivian Wood.
This book picked up where Howl left off and I like this one even better than the first one. The story is more developed and the characters are as well. What I was lacking in the first book between the characters is front and centre in this book. I like the closeness between the wolves/shifters and it was very evident in this one.
I’m a huge fan of Vivian Wood. Her writing style grabs you in the early stage and holds on until the very end. Can’t wait for the next book.
