** A Siren Erotic Romance [Siren Menage Everlasting: Erotic Cowboy Menage a Trois Romance, M/F/M, light consensual BDSM, spanking, HEA]
Chasing Bliss is book #7 in the Nights In Bliss, Colorado series by Sophie Oak.
Gemma Wells moves back to Bliss with her mother after her career as a big time lawyer completely crumbles around her. She plans on staying there only long enough until she can get her job back or another one like it and then she was gone. She didn’t really like it there nor felt like she fit in. Plus someone from her past was trying to scare her. Jesse has dealt with Cade’s insecurities for a long time and now he’s got Gemma to worry about as well. He’s trying to bring the three of them together but he’s not sure if Cade is on board and he’s not sure if he can crack Gemma’s tough exterior.
Really great storyline. Gemma came into town with her mother and friend in tow and a whole can of worms that she didn’t know followed her. The suspense throughout and the flow of the story was fantastic. I could not put this book down.
I loved Jesse McCann and I felt some sympathy for Cade Sinclair but I could not connect to Gemma… and really, I couldn’t connect to Cade all that well either.
I did have sympathy for his background story… which, by the way, I thought was an amazing background story for a character… but I just couldn’t connect with some of his reactions. It could have been me not being in the right head-space for the book at the time or I just couldn’t connect. Either way… BUMMER! I loved his background story and I loved how he was portrayed as being gorgeous and sexy so it was kind of surprising that I couldn’t connect.
Gemma I couldn’t connect with at all. That too was a surprise because she’s tough and takes crap off no one, but I just couldn’t get passed her bitchy side. Yes, I know it was a self-preservation mechanism for her, but I couldn’t do it. I usually love the bitches who has a heart of gold, but to me she had the bitch part down but the heart of gold part needs some work.
Sophie Oak brought back some of our favourite characters, which is one of the things I love about this series. This time she really spent some time with Nell and Henry… Henry has a story there and I’d really love to hear it. I’m hoping that a future book is about him. She also mentioned some of our favourites from the sister series “Texas Sirens”, which is always fun too.
As always the writing is spectacular. Sophie Oak knows how to build a story from start to finish and her dialogue and flow carries you through it seamlessly. It’s so easy to read and get hooked on and once that happens you just can’t put it down.
In A Nutshell
Another hit! Loved it! I can’t get enough of this clan from Bliss, Colorado! Keep ’em coming!
