Sixteen-year-old Dru's worst fears have come true - Sergej, the deadly nosferat, has kidnapped her best friend Graves and she must now go on a suicidal rescue mission to bring him back in one piece. That is, if she can put all of Christophe's training to good use, defeat her mother's traitor, Anna, once and for all, and manage to survive another day...
Good. Very good indeed. The last book fell a little short for me but this one was right on the edge again. That’s not to say I didn’t like the last one, it’s just that it wasn’t the gripping on the edge of your seat reading as the first two or this one. I’ve grown to love these characters very much. Particularly Christophe. I hope things work out well for him. I like him very much but I also like Graves… so I guess I won’t be disappointed either way really. Well?? I dunno….
Dru is one phenomenal character! Man, she’s been to hell and back and still, she’s like a rock. She’s had a couple of tender moments but not very many and usually they’re when she’s alone. The few tender moments that she’s had with Christophe or Graves have been few and far between and short. She’s not one to let her feelings show… or at least not for long. I’m waiting for her to break but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. She’s vibrant and amazing, but she’s human.
I guess the next book is the finale. Can’t wait, although I will miss my characters!
